Spring Containers

Spring containers offer early color that people crave after a long, dark, cold winter.   When creating four season container displays, it is important to choose your plant materials carefully.  Be sure to pick cold hardy plant materials which thrive when exposed to cooler night time temperatures.  You can add height to your display using interesting woody stems or a garden element, such as an obelisk.  Don’t shy away from adding some artificial or dried touches to your container; creative accents can add a little twist to your display to set it apart from the rest.  Some of the tried and true plant materials used in cool season containers include:  pansies, kale and ivy.  Depending on when the display is installed, there are several other plant materials which could be incorporated depending on weather conditions.  Spring flowers are guaranteed to put a smile on people’s faces.  They definitely add cheer to any entrance or landscape.g
